2009 Canadian Cardiovascular Society/Canadian guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of dyslipidemia and prevention of cardiovascular disease in the adult - 2009 recommendations.
Consider more aggressive therapy to a LDL target < 1.8 mmol/L in these populations based
on HPS , AVERT , MIRACL, REVERSAL, PROVE-IT and TNT.
Revised NCEP-ATP III Guidelines include a discretionary LDL target of <70 mg/dL (1.8
